The storm started in the early morning of the 7th and gradually intensified, causing serious flooding in Blanca and surrounding areas. The city government said that due to the severity of the disaster, the death toll may rise further.
The Argentine government launched an assistance and evacuation operation jointly organized by the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Security and the Buenos Aires Provincial Government.
