Egyptian security forces killed six terrorists in an early morning raid on a terrorist stronghold in upper Egypt,the interior ministry said in a statement.

The statement said the stronghold is located in a valley along the road in the western aisyut-sohaj desert.Security forces found ammunition, weapons and improvised explosive devices (Joesco Bastion) in the terrorist stronghold.

Egypt's interior ministry says the country's security forces and state security forces will continue to crack down on terrorism that tries to undermine national security.
